Position Overview

We’re seeking a passionate and organized Site Coordinator to support the success of our EDGE (Education, Discovery, Growth and Excellence) Afterschool and Summer Programs. In this role, you’ll help lead day-to-day program operations, support academic enrichment activities, and build strong relationships with youth, families, schools, and community partners. This position plays a key role in ensuring youth receive high-quality programming that supports academic success, social-emotional development, and family stability.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the planning, coordination, and daily operations of the EDGE afterschool and summer programs
  • Develop and implement engaging academic enrichment activities aligned with school-day learning
  • Supervise homework time and provide academic support to youth participants
  • Build strong relationships with youth, families, school staff, and community partners
  • Communicate regularly with school staff to align programming with student needs and academic goals
  • Lead and support EDGE staff, volunteers, and interns through coaching and daily guidance
  • Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and complete required reports
  • Coordinate enrichment activities and ensure a safe, engaging environment for all participants
  • Connect youth and families to additional resources and services through a two-generational approach
  • Identify opportunities to improve programming, operations, and participant outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field OR 5+ years of leadership experience in youth development programs
  • Strong commitment to youth development, community impact, and family engagement
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with youth in academic, afterschool, or enrichment settings
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse groups including youth, families, and school partners
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing lesson plans or facilitating academic enrichment activities
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies in group settings
  • Familiarity with community-based programs or nonprofit environments
  • Experience working within school systems or collaborating with educators

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Part-time, non-exempt position
  • On-site at area schools and JBNC facilities
  • Schedule varies based on program needs (afterschool hours, with occasional evenings/weekends)
