Boner Community Center (JBNC) is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Specialist to ensure our properties remain sparkling, safe, and inviting for residents and visitors alike. What You Can Expect

Working at JBNC means embracing a dynamic environment where cleanliness and attention to detail make all the difference. This role focuses on maintaining our properties, which include:

  • Community and Residential Spaces: From corporate offices and classrooms to kitchens and lobbies, you’ll ensure every space shines.
  • Commercial Properties: Including the Tebo Building, Republic Building, Art Hub, and others, all requiring regular maintenance and tenant support.

Core Responsibilities

This position encompasses a variety of cleaning tasks, including:

  • Housekeeping: Cleaning restrooms, kitchens, classrooms, lobbies, and common areas. Tasks include mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and replenishing supplies.
  • Equipment Management: Maintaining janitorial tools and chemical supplies to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Event Support: Assisting with setup and teardown for community events.
  • Safety and Emergency Response: Addressing incidents in high-stress environments.

A Day in the Life

Start your day by reviewing cleaning schedules and preparing supplies. Your morning might involve sanitizing restrooms, replenishing paper products, and tidying lobbies for the day’s visitors. By midday, you’re cleaning classrooms and kitchens, ensuring they’re ready for programs and events. In the afternoon, you tackle detailed floor care or window cleaning before reporting completed tasks and restocking supplies for tomorrow.

Unique Factors to Consider

This is not a typical housekeeping role. You’ll need to:

  • Work in high-traffic areas requiring constant upkeep.
  • Handle occasional adverse interactions with professionalism.
  • Stay organized while managing cleaning needs across multiple properties.


You Will Thrive in this Position If You Have:

  • At least 1 year of professional housekeeping experience (not required).
  • Strong skills in cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining various types of flooring and surfaces.
  • The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
